1880 Census - William Schenck, Wife Hellen (Lane) living in Town ofBeloit, WI with children including Anna.
March 30, 1889 Hellen Lane Schenck had divorced William Schenck andremarried A. Horace Stevens in Madison, Dane Co., WI.
1890 - In the St. Paul, MN Directory, it shows "Stevens, A. Horaceclk NP RY r 710 Carroll." His wife of one year Helen must havebeen in St. Paul with him.
October 14, 1890 - From Marriage Record: Searles, Walter (Steele) &Miss Annie M. Schenck (Schenck) 14 Oct 1890 at Owatonna. by W. S.Pechin, Clergyman. Wit: Ralph Pechin & A. B. Pechin. Note withpersonal consent of W. W. Schenck, father of said Annie.
May 6 1891 William Schenck (of Dodge Co., MN marries Kittie I. Slow(of Steel Co., MN).
Aug 19 1892 in Claremont Twp, Dodge Co., MN, Lorraine Schenck is bornto Wm & Kittie Schenck.
My thoughts from the above is that William Schenck and Helen divorcedin Wisconsin. Probably in Beloit and went their separate ways. Hellenmet and married A. Horace Stevens and moved to Madison, WI, butWilliam moved to Steele or Dodge Co., MN. Either Anna Schenck movedwith him or came to visit him for she was living in Steele Co., MNwhen she met and married Walter Searles. Annie and Walter then movedto Merton Twp, Dodge Co., MN, where her father was living and had afarm there. They lived in Dodge Co., until about 1903/1904.
Anna Mable Schenck first shows in the 1880 Census of Rock County, Townof Beloit, WI at age 7 along with her father William Schenck (39),mother Hellen (29), and sisters Tilla (10) and Emma H (4).
Anna shows up in the 1900 census in Dodge, Ellington Twp, MN marriedto Walter Searles, with children William, Charles, Howard and Chester.
Anna again shows up in the 1910 census, this time in Snohomish County,WA with the same children plus a daughter Florence.
Anna Mable Searles Certificate of Death reveals the followinginformation;
She was living at 4521 4th Street, Lowell, WA. The same address thatshe was living at when Walter died 16 years earlier. She died ofCoronary Thrombosis on Feb 24, 1960 at a Everett Hospital at 3322Broadway after an 8 day stay. Her birth date is listed as Dec 23, 1873and s he was 86 years old. Her father's name is listed as WilliamSchenck and her mother as Helen Stevens (this is not her maiden name,but the surname of her 2nd husband). She is buried at Cypress Lawn
Memorial Park, Everett, WA. The informant was Mrs. Florence White, of4519 4th St. Lowell, WA. (Note this is her daughter, who was livingnext door)
