Data from Britannica. According to Lewis Aethelred was crowned atKingston-upon-Thames in 979, he later fled to Normandy after theDanish invasion in the autumn of 1013. He was restored to his throneupon the death of Sweyn, Feb 1014. [His regain of the throne is notshown in the Begin Reign-End Reign Events, only the initial reign.(ph). Britannica makes no mention of his byname, "The Red", but doesadd Aethelred Unraed and explains that the epithet "unready" isderived from "unraed" which means "evil counsel".
