Some records indicate that he died aninfant. He is not mentioned in his mother's will so probablypredeceased her. This confirmed by Colonial Families of the UnitedStates.

In the Name of God, Amen - I Garrett Vanswearingen of the Citty of St.Marys in St. Marys County haveing condsidered ye Many Years I havelived in this world & therefore but a Little time to remain and forReason of the Uncertainty When this tyme shall be Expired I doo herebyWill and require that When it should be ye Will of God to Call me outof this Mortall Life My body shall be buried if God doth permitaccording to the Customs of the Roman Catholique Church and ye Priestthat shall bury me I doe give him One Thousand Pounds of tobba andfurther I do require of My Executors hereafter Names to take Care thatduring ye ensuing year Mass shall be done for me Holy at all ye LadyDays, St. Joseph day, St. John of Evangelin, St. Mary Magdeline, inHoly Week at all Saints days and in ye Christmas holidays, and furtherthat all my Just debts shall be paid and doe therefore Appoint andNominate my Wife and my Son Joseph Vanswearingen Exrs of my Will andthis my Testament to doe and act as Exors as shall be menconed. Stuyvesantat Amstel on the Delaware, Nov. 26, 1659; Schout, 1660; called"Honrable President' in a letter from William Beekman to Stuyvesant in1663; commissioner to Holland from New Amstel, 1661-1662.
