Lafferty - Hancock
Mrs. Rebecca E. Hancock of Leechburg, Pa., announces the marriage ofher daughter, Miss Nellie Iota Hancock, to G. Howard Lafferty ofWarren, which was an event of Saturday evening, April 2, in theparsonage of the Lutheran church, Hollidaysburg, Pa., at 8:00 o'clock,with Rev. M.S. Kemp reading the service.
Mr. and Mrs. Lafferty will be at home to their friends at 1206Edgewood av., Warren, after May 1.
The announcement of the marriage of these two well known Warren youngpeople is of interest to many friends in the city and manycongratulations are being forwarded to them. The bride wore withcharming simplicity an ensemble of midnight blue, with a gray travelcoat, fur trimmed, and a hat of the same shade. Her corsage was ofFrench roses. For a number of years she has been a member of thesales staff of the Warner Co. and has made countless friends inbusiness and socially. The groom is associated with the MahoningValley Abstract Co., as its attorney and is equally well known andpopular in business and professional circles.
Weddings
Lafferty-Hancock
Attorney G. Howard Lafferty and Miss Nellie I. Hancock, both residentsof Warren, Ohio, were quietly married at the parsonage of the Lutheranchurch, Hollidaysburg, on Friday evening, the ceremony being preformedby Dr. M. Stanley Kemp, pastor of the church. The pair was attendedby J. Alton Heller of Hollidaysburg, a friend of the groom. At theconclusion of the honeymoon, the newlyweds will take up residence atWarren.
Mr. Lafferty is well known in local court house circles, as he is afrequent visitor in the line of his duties, as a representative of theOhio Joint Stock Land Bank, of Cleveland. In this connection he hasconsiderable work to perform at the register and recorder's office.

Cards were received today by local relatives announcing the birth of adaughter to Attorney and Mrs. Howard Lafferty, formerly of Warren. Thebaby was born in the Harrisburg, Pa., City hospital Tuesday evening.Mrs Lafferty will be remembered as Miss Nellie Hancock of this citybefore her marriage.

Mrs. Lafferty Dies; Husband was Attorney
Mrs. G. Howard (Nellie I.) Lafferty, 76, 1715 Edgewood NE, widow of aprominent Warren attorney, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday in TrumbullMemorial Hospital, following a four month illness.
Born June 15, 1891 in Rector, Pa., she was the daughter of John A. andRebecca Shaulis Hancock. Her husband, Atty. G. Howard Lafferty, diedDec. 16, 1965.
A resident here 52 years, coming from Leechburg. Pa., she was a memberof First Methodist Church and February Circle of WSCS.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Hess of Warren; ason, Donald E. of Greensburg, Pa., a brother, P. D. Hancock ofHuntsville, Ala.; and five grandchildren. Three brothers proceededher in death.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Carl W. HallFuneral Home. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
