He is on the same page of the 1790 census asMehitabel and her husband, Dr. Phinehas Bartlet. About 1802 he andhis wife removed to Sempronius, Cayuga Co., NY where several of hischildren had moved earlier.

He was a member of the General Court 1676/77.He resided at West Barnstable and inherited a large portion of theestates of his father, whom he survived only 4 years, dying in 1678,aged 32 years. The estate included the farm of his father, then inpossession of his mother and and 44 acres of land that was a gift tohis wife from her father. The estate was settled by the court Oct 301678 as follows: Land of Thomas Allyn's to Samuel, he paying to sisterAnna L25, one half of current silver money of New England and theother half in 2 years....... To John, land of his grandmothers, to payhis sister L25 1/2 in silver and 1/2 in 2 years......To wifeMehitable all moveables and all the stock, with 1/3 of profits to Johnand Samuel after they become of age. Samuel and John were inBarnstable in 1703.
