David Rogers and Shirley Hoyt were married in Whatcom County, WA andhad a son John (Jack) David Rogers. When he was three years (actuallyhe was only 1 year old) old his mother was attacked by a vagrant inher home and was so frightened by the ordeal that she went intopremature labor and delivered a set of twins which died at birth andalso Shirley died. Little Jack was placed in several homes andboarding schools and when he was seven he went to live with his uncleHorace Rogers in Eastern Washington. He grew up there and served inthe Army in World War II. He married and raised a family in Coquille,Oregon. He has had no contact with his Hoyt family since the 1940's.An address was found from about 40 years ago and it was a pleasantsurprise to find that Jack Rogers and his wife were still living thereand supplied family information.
