All data from R. Tibbetts. Horatio's mother divorced Luther CalvinTibbets and returned to the East coast with her children. Their son,Horatio Fogg Tibbets, petitioned the court to change his name fromTibbets to Twombley, and on March 1, 1892 it was so decreed.
Horatio was a representative in the MA Legislature in 1899. He wasthe Commissioner of Public Works,For 6 years, Chairman of FraminghamFinance Committee, Director of the Board of Trade, Director of UnionSt. Railroad and founder and President of the Bay State ManufacturingCo., makers of leather goods. He was also a realtor and builder.
