Data from R. Campbell and Jansohn who wrote in part ".... because hewas older when she was born and it was her mother's second marriage, she had 3 half siblings named Lee. I remember my father talking aboutone of his McLeester cousins and the fact that they were owners ormanagers
of a Donaldson shoe factory in Philadelphia..... My gt. grandfatherRobert must have died in the early 1880's; my grandmother May was bornin 1875 and I believe her father died when she was about 6 or 7 andthat's when she was put in the Burd School. She got a good educationthere - thru high school and she studied music; she won an award forher piano performance."
While Campbell gave her name as May Neil McCleester, Jansohn gives hername as May Neeld McCleester and as she was May's granddaughter, Ihave used that name here.
Behling-McLeester found her birth record in Philadelphia Births at LDSLibrary, Book 18, p. 89: 21 Sep 1875, Mary N. McLeester born to Robertand Mary McLeester, Ward 1, 724 Byard St., he a type founder.

Married on the 4th instant by Rev. Mr. Evans, Robert McLeester of NewYork to Miss Sophie Baer of Baltimore.
Notes for Robert from Behling-McLeester.
At the time of his marriage, he was "of New York". On William E.'sdeath certificate, it says Robert was born in Baltimore, MD. On 1850Census it says Robert was born in NY. His 1873 marriage certificategives his place of birth as Ireland, and that seems correct.
Funeral records give death year as 1881. Mount Moriah cemetery recordsquoted by Piechoski, use 1882.
Marriage to Moore supplied by R. Campbell with copy of marriagelicense. "I have a certified copy of the marriage certificate for MaryE Lee and Robert McLester (yes only one E) stating he was 48 yrs oldat the time of the marriage (11 Sep 1873)and his place of birth wasIreland."
Though the 1850 Census indicates that Robert was born in 1825, Jansohngives 1823.
Behling-McLeester supplied the following census detail. This was thesecond enumeration for that year as there were many complaints oferrors in the first.

PENNSYLVANIA
ONE HUNDRED and NINETY-SECOND INFANTRY
(One Year)
One Hundred and Ninety-second Infantry. - Col., William B.
Thomas; Lieut.-Col., Benjamin L. Taylor; Majs. C. W. McClin-
tock, Henry J. Snyder. This regiment was recruited from the
20th Pa. militia, which had been called into the service of the
state, under command of Col. Thomas in 1862 and again in 1863.
It rendezvoused at Camp Cadwalader, Philadelphia, where four-
teen companies were organized and mustered into the U. S. serv-
ice on July 7, 1864, for a term of 100 days. On the 23d it
left the state for Baltimore and on Aug. 1 was ordered to gar-
rison Fort McHenry, where it was drilled in heavy artillery
duty. About the middle of the month it moved to Johnson's is-
land, Lake Erie, but remained there only a few days when it was
ordered to Gallipolis on the Ohio river. Here it was employed
in guarding and forwarding supplies accumulated for the Union
armies. On Sept. 30 Cos. M, A, B, F, D, L and G, under Maj.
McClintock, were ordered to Weston, W. Va., where they served
under Gen. Kelley until the close of their term of enlistment.
On the expiration of their term of service the two battalions
proceeded to Philadelphia, where the command was mustered out
on Nov. 11, 1864 . The regiment was reorganized for one year's
service with the following officers: Col., William W. Stewart;
Lieut-Col., Thomas McLeester; Maj., William F. Johnston. Octo-
ber 18, 1864, a sufficient number of men from the 100 days'
organization to form one company re-enlisted for one year's
service. In the spring of 1865 nine new companies were organ-
ized at Harrisburg and proceeded to Harper's Ferry, where a
regimental organization was effected, which continued to be
known as the 192nd of the line. On the opening of the spring
campaign the regiment moved up the valley to Staunton and Lex-
ington, but saw little fighting, as the war was practically
ended. It remained in service in the Middle Military Division
until Aug. 24, when it was mustered out.
