I happened upon your "Pumpkin's Roots" website and would like to makea few comments/
suggestions.
Background: my wife is the granddaughter of Dudley Ely Hoyt(5361-1-10). His father's family was the first generation to use thethen new Union Cemetery in Rowayton, Norwalk, CT. It is still in useand about a half a mile from our house. Since my wife and her cousinare the last of this line to live in Norwalk, it has been ourresponsibility to maintain the family plot together with an earlierBouton/Hoyt private cemetery that was used from the mid 18th throughmid 19th centuries. I am very familiar with the family. Indeed, Ihave a fairly complete ancestry for Ira Ford Hoyt and his mother,Hannah Smith Bouton compiled mainly from family records and fromsecondary sources, but that really is peripheral to your work.
I have a request, some suggestions, and some information.
Ira Ford Hoyt (5361) had an eleventh child, Ada Irene Hoyt, b. So.Norwalk CT July 5, 1868; d. So. Norwalk CT Oct 28, 1933. Aunt Daisy,as she was known, was born too late to be in the David Hoyt genealogylist. She never married, and will be forgotten if lists like yoursdon't remember her. Please add her to the list. The information Ihave given is from family records and her gravestone. She was a DARmember, so anyone who really wanted to verify the data could at leastget some printed verification there. The family house that Ira FordHoyt built passed to Daisy and then to my mother in law. So there alsois evidence in the Norwalk lands records. Connecticut still has a lawthat birth records are confidential - a law that I as a lawyer mustrespect as a genealogist.
Corrections: The child that D Hoyt listed as Annie Josephine Hoyt(5361-1-7) is really Anna Josephine Hoyt. The gravestone she shareswith her sister has raised names with the background carved away. Itis unmistakable. Anna is an unusual name for a New England Yankee andin handwritten form could easily be misread.
The man listed as Henry Hubbell Hoyt (5361-1-9) is really HarryHubbell Hoyt. The Hoyt genealogy has this right. Again a longhandHarry could easily be mistaken for Henry.

Finally I can add that Hanna Smith Bouton (5358), mother of Ira FordHoyt, died on
May 6, 1873. She is buried in the local Bouton/Hoyt private cemetery,and the stone gives that date as well as a consistent age in y, m, dform. Hannah Smith Bouton is the family's link to the Hopkins familyand the Mayflower. That line picks up with her parents, Samuel Boutonand Eunice Smith on page 505 of the GSMD book "Mayflower Families 6-Hopkins."
