William J.F. and Elizabeth were married 4 April 1822, we presume atLewes, DE, where the bride was born, and where her family were livingat the time of their marriage. We found the announcement of the deathof Wm.J.F. Mc in the Public Ledger for Aug. 24, 1857. The paper ispreserved at the Free Public Library of Philadephia, Logan Square, PA.On the 21st Inst. Wm.J.F.McAllister, aged 56 years. The relatives andfriends are respectively invited to attend the funeral from his lateresidence, South Front St. below Greenwich this (Monday) afternoon at2 o'clock, without further notice. His burial place in Mount MoriahCemetery, Philadelphia was ascertained and visited, but the stone isno longer intact. In the 1850 census returns for Phil his householdwas described, "William J. F. McAllister a male, aged 52 years, headof the house, Elizabeth, age 47 yrs was also born in Delaware. Theirson-in-law, Edward Cullen (Culin) was 22 yrs old, born in Pa. Theyoung couple had been married within the year.
