All data from Mobley who sent a copy of Jessie's birth certificate inwhich parents' names are given ____ Chamberlain and Katie Timpson andLegitimate? No.
Mobley also sent a transcript of the court case in which the State ofOklahoma sued Eugene Chamberlin for the support of Jessie. In part itreads "..upon the verdict of guilty found returned and filed in thiscase by the jury that the defendant, Eugene Chamberlin, be chargedwith the support of Jessie Timpson the minor child of Katie Timpson,and it is adjudged that said defendant pay for the maintenance of suchminor the sum of Eight Dollars ($8.00) per month...beginning withFeruary 1st, 1917, and a like sum the first day of each monththereafter during the life time of said Jessie Timpson, not however toexceed in total payments the sum of Five Hundred Dollars."
Note from McLeester - By todays standards this sum is very small andthe total payments would have only continued for a little over 62months. So Jessie was paid this monthly amount until she was about 6years old.
