[11649] All data from R. Tibbetts. Ephraim went to sea in his youth, wasinjured in a fall and returned home. He became an excellent machinistand millwright. He was rated one of the finest in Maine, and like hisfather, took great pride in accurate workmanship. He was a man ofgreat strength and courage, woe to any man so reckless as to insulthim. In his many encounters with formidable athletes, he was alwaysvictor. By contrast he was possessed of as tender a heart as everbeat in the human breast, was congenial, a good companion, andneighborly.
