"Death of the Wife of Henry O. Heustis.
"Mrs. Caroline S. Heustis, wife of Henry O. Heustis, died inLawrenceburgh on Thursday evening last at 8 1/2 o'clock, aged 50years, 6 months and 8 days.
Mrs. Heustis had been afflicted for many years with asthma. She diedof enlargement of the heart, which was caused by the above disease.She had been very ill for several weeks, but seemed to be improving inhealth to some degree, and was not thought to be dangerously ill untilabout three o'clock in the afternoon of Thursday, when she was takensuddenly down, from which no medical aid could revive her, or stay thehand of an allwise and gracious God.
The deceased was the mother of six children; five are living, who,with her husband, have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole communityin this their sad affliction. Mrs. Heustis was a most estimable lady,a kind mother, faithful wife, and an acceptable member of the BaptistChurch. The
funeral services were performed at the Baptist church, by Rev. E. P.Bond, Sunday afternoon, in the presence of a large concourse ofrelatives and friends." -- Democratic Register, Lawrenceburg, April5, 1877"
