Data from McLeester. Birth year from Boese through Dearborn Co., IN1850 Census. There is another person in this household, MatthewHudson, farmer born about 1831 in IN. Data from Olson includes exactbirthdate and place, death information and marriage year. The Olsonpublication states there were 8 children but they are not named. Ispeculate that Matthew Hudson has been mistaken as a child of thefamily.
Chefalo sent me a copy of the 1840 Census. I am not sure this is thesame Benjamin as he would have been 40 in the 1840 census and otherchildren would have been in the household at that time.

He couldhaul more hay and load a boat quicker, go to New Orleans, and backagain, sooner than anyone else. His very presence, with his usualfire and life, like a galvanic battery that emits electricity at theslightest touch, gave activity and new life to all around him. Atheart Ben Tibbetts was an honest man, of generous impulses, and whilehe may have wronged himself he
never intentionally wronged a neighbor.
