Serelda is the gg grandmother of Jill E. McLeester.
Data from McLeester. Copy of Certificate of Matrimony dated Oct. 15,1974 lists first name as Sevelda. Family tradition says that theTibbetts were from Maine and this has been verified. Also accordingto family tradition, Serelda or Zerelda was Indian but this has notbeen proven. According to Adele Reed Ray Fink (Aunt Dee) Sereldaserved as doctor for the community, using roots & herbs and she wasknown to be very strict. Fink supplied birth and marriage dates andburial place. Serelda died from anemia. Fink states that she isburied in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Marshall Co., IN.
Her Obituary - FAMILIAR FACE PASSES BEYOND
Mrs. L. H. Fielding Succums (sic) at Granddaughter's Home--Over 58Years of Wedded Life--Agros Citizen Near Half-Century
The death early Monday morning of Mrs. L. H. Fielding takes from ourmidst one of the community's best known figures. The family moved toArgos in 1863 and she had been a resident of this place for almosthalf a century. Mrs. Fielding was 77 years, 6 months and 19 days old.She leaves beside her aged companion, three living children: LindseyC. of Conneaut, Ohio, Mrs. Amos Teeple of Indianapolis and Mrs. Wm.Foltz. Another daughter, the deceased wife of G. W. Powers issurvived by two children, L. H. Powers of Michigan City and Mrs. TellaKamp north of Argos.
Serelda W. Tibbetts, who died May 13 at the home of Tella Kamp, northof this place, was born October 24, 1834 in Manchester, DearbornCounty, Ind. She was one of a family of nine children, eight of whompreceded her in death.
On September 17, 1853, she was united in marriage to Lewis H. Fieldingand to this union were born four children; Charles L., Laura A., MaryA., who died some years ago, and Clara G.
The family moved to this vicinity in August of 1863 and has resided,mainly, in or near Argos since that time.
Mrs. Fielding was a woman of broad Christian sympathies, having unitedwith the church in early life, and fellowshipt all who tried to followher Master, whether of her church or of some other branch of theLord's work. She was a good neighbor and friend and will be missed bymany who will remember her kindly and helpful deeds. The communityextends sympathy to the aged and bereaved husband, to the children andother members of the family who are left to mourn her departure
"Not now, but in the coming years, It may be in the better land, We'llread the meaning of our tears, And there, somtime, we'll understand."
Funeral services were held from the Argos Christian Church Tuesayafternoon at 2, conducted by Rev. H. G. Rockwell, assisted by thelocal Rebekahs of which she has long been a member. Interment wasmade at Maple Grove.

Mrs. Louis Fielding died at the home of her grandfather (sic), Mes.ALlie Kamp, three miles south of Plymouth on the Michigan Road, on May13. She was 77 years, six months and 19 days old, and had lived inand around Argos for a number of years. The funeral was preachedtoday at the Argos Christian Church by the Rev. Mr. Rockwell. Burialin Maple Grove cemetery.
