Will of Nicholas Young, 30 May 1805, Northampton Co., PA Will Book 4,pp 294-296, County Records (R.G. 47), Microfilm Reel 4035 : Nicholaswilled his estate to the following heirs:
7.) Heirs of daughter Rachel to receive:
the note for £30 due three years after the testator's death from sonNicholas (II) dated 5 August 1803. Because Rachel had already received£9.18 of this note only the remaining balance would be divided amongthe heirs.
the note for £30 that comes due eight years after the testator' sdeath from son Nicholas (II) dated 5 August 1805 less £4.14. 8 becauseNicholas had previously paid the testator £37.17.7, the remainder tobe divided equally among the heirs.
the note for £30 due thirteen years after the testator's death fromson Nicholas (II) dated 5 August 1803 less £3.11.5 due son John bynote from son-in-law Thomas Gillmore assigned to son N icholas (II),the remainder to be divided equally among the heirs.
the sum of £10 out of the note for £30 due sixteen years aftertestator's death from son Nicholas (II) dated 5 August 1803 t o bedivided equally among the heirs.
The testator, Nicholas Young (I), directed an amount of his personalproperty sufficient to cover his debts and funeral expenses be soldand the remainder to be given to his widow Rachel for as long as shedid not remarry. In the event of her remarriage the testator'sremaining personal property was then to be sold and the proceedsdivided equally between his three sons. Rachel was also to receive analimony obligation dated 30 June 1803 .
