-his brother John purchased 32 acres from his father in the town shipon 13 June 1803 and sold the same parcel to Nicholas on 1 5 June 1809.John and Nicholas coinherited his father's farm in 1807.
Will of Nicholas Young, 30 May 1805, Northampton Co., PA Will Book 4,pp 294-296, County Records (R.G. 47), Microfilm Reel 4035 : Nicholaswilled his estate to the following heirs:
1.) Son Nicholas in joint ownership with son John to receive farm inHamilton Twp as described by deed conveyed to them both on 30 June1803 for the consideration of £1500. Further Nicholas (II) is toreceive £500 of this consideration as part of his legacy and one thirdof the remaining £100 purchase price.
The testator, Nicholas Young (I), directed an amount of his personalproperty sufficient to cover his debts and funeral expenses be soldand the remainder to be given to his widow Rachel for as long as shedid not remarry. In the event of her remarriage the testator'sremaining personal property was then to be sold and the proceedsdivided equally between his three sons. Rachel was also to receive analimony obligation dated 30 June 1803 .

Witnesses: Henry Fenner (s), Henry Eyer (s), Philip Eyer (s)

from Wallace Nolin - 1860 census Erie County, Groton Township, Ohio,pg. 307 - lists John A. Young, Sarah, A. Kelsey (age 9), John Kelsey(age 19), James Kelsey (age 17) (all 3 born in NY) & Conrad Luck (age16) born in Germany.
from Wallace Nolin - 1870 census Jackson Co., Mi., Sandstone Township,shows John A. Young, farmer, age 38 b NY, Sarah E. age 37, keepinghouse b Ohio, Mabel age 7 born Ohio - pg. 397.
from Wallace Nolin - he and Sarah Elizabeth Dyer were married inMedina Co. on 24 Sept. 1856 and moved to Groton Twp., Erie Co., Ohio,where they showed up on the 1860 census. He was already 18 in 1850, soprobably did not move with his parents to Seneca Co. Sarah was only 16in 1850 and probably lived with her parents until they got married.
from Wallace Nolin - My papers say he sold his farm in Jackson Co., MI& moved into Kalamazoo, where he died. But I also say that he and hiswife are buried in Chapel Cemetery near Parma....
Living in Kalamazoo makes sense since that is where his daughter,Mabel, met her husband. Wallace also has an original photo of John A.Young with his name on the back in his mother's
hadnwriting. The studio was in Winfield, Cowley Co., Kansas. Heappears to be 50+, whiskers, etc. did he do any railroading with hisbrother, my John N. Young, that would have taken him out
there, perhaps after selling his farm. There are brief Kansasreferences in my papers.
