[3086] All data from Kinney. Per Ladella Dove's notes, which are in thepossession of Gregg Kinney, she wrote about "Our home that we neverlived in at 5905 So., San Pedro, Los Angeles". Robert Kinney diedjust before the family was going to move in to their new home. Hedied on a Sunday while on his way to church to listen to the churchmusic. He was riding on a street car at Maple and Santa BarbaraAvenues in Los Angeles when he collapsed. He died in an automobile onthe way to the Receiving Hospital. After his death his widow andyoung son moved back to Raymond, NE. Robert's occupations included: afarmer near Raymond, NE (The farm was about 3 miles east of Raymond,NE. He sold the farm animals, implements, etc. in November 1906 at anauction. A copy of the farm auction handbill is in the possession ofGregg Kinney). He was a high school janitor when he applied for alife insurance policy in 1909. Some notes indicate that he may havebeen a ship's carpenter in Tacoma, Washington where his Uncle Casiuswas also a ship's carpenter. He was employed as a ship's carpenter inLos Angeles at the time of his death in October 1921. Robert was amason. The lodge No. 210 A.F.A.M. was in charge of the funeralservices.
